Our guesthouse remains open to serve essential and key workers following the government Covid 19 guidelines. We are very pleased to advise that we have achieved the AA Covid Confident Accreditation, by having VERY strict cleaning regimes, a new Covid cleaning schedule, staff have been well trained, we have addressed and adapted our Check-in/ service procedures and completed a new Risk assessment. We are confident that we have done all that we can to ensure that we can operate safely.
During lockdowns we have been very busy redecorating all of our rooms, adding usb points, updating the bathrooms….even adding balconies to some rooms!

Cleaning & Hygiene
There is a ‘Sanitisation Station’ at the entrance/ exit, complete with hand gel and anti bacterial spray for customers use
Our Reception has a screen to ensure customers and staff are safe
Our pens/desk/ Card payment machine are sanitised after every use
All staff and customers must wear masks, customers may remove once in their rooms
Hand soaps are readily available in the rooms
We can offer a ‘contactless check-in’ service if required and guests feel more comfortable, which means you can access a key box without any staff interaction
We have wipeable ‘room info’ posters for all your needs, which include a ‘messaging service’ number for you to contact staff, without the need to leave your room
All soft furnishings and accessories have been removed from the rooms, we also have a steamer to sanitise items such as bed bases and curtains
Our cleaning schedule has been revised and staff have undergone training to ensure that everything is detailed
Our key fobs have been replaced with wipeable ones
There are posters to remind everyone of our social distancing rules, 2 metres where possible but a minimum of 1 meter
We have a protective screen at the Reception desk
We operate a ‘minimal contact’ check-in and check-out procedure

Our bar and restaurant will be closed in line with government guidelines
Our card machine will now take contactless payments to the value of £45
All of our staff have undergone training on our new cleaning schedule/ Check-in/ Guest service procedure. Management have passed a Covid Awareness Programme.

We have a range of different room types, choose from twins, doubles, triples, quads and family rooms for 5 or 6.
All rooms have a TV and tea & coffee making facilities. All rooms are booked on a room only basis, but you are welcome to join us for breakfast in the mornings, pre-book a breakfast hamper upon check-in. There is FREE on-street parking* surrounding the building.
You can book the group wing for your family or group, complete with “getting ready area”. Or why not book into one of our brand new rooms in the J wing?
We are not currently serving food due to our bar and restaurant being closed in line with government guidance as of 5th November, 2020.
Booking Policy (Cancellation Policy)
All reservations require a credit/debit card and must be confirmed by us.
Reservations booked on “Base Rate” may be cancelled up to 3pm, one week prior to the day of arrival, at a loss of deposit. All rooms booked on “Advanced Saver rate”, require full payment upon booking and are non-refundable. Late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival date), will result in full charge.
No-shows (i.e. no cancellation given) will be charged for the full amount.
If you wish to change your booking you must call as soon as possible and outside of the 7 day arrival period. We will try to make required changes for you but it depends on the availability and room occupancy, extra charges may apply.
While we love animals, we are sorry but no pets are allowed in the Guest Rooms. They are welcome in our public areas.
Takeaways and alcohol are not permitted in the rooms.

Check in 3.00pm – 9.00pm or by arrangement.
Any damage made to rooms/furniture will be charged for. Any tabs left open in the restaurant will be charged to the card provided when booked at the end of each day.
Keys must be returned on the day of departure. Any keys that are not returned or lost will be charged £25 per set of keys.
Breakfast may not be available on certain dates over Christmas and New Year (advised at time of booking).
Special arrangements can be made if we are informed in advance. Please advise of dietary requirements.
