T’s&C’s Function Hire

Please note, once payment has been taken, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions.

 

  1. Decoration should be arranged with Management prior to the event. Banners with blue tac and weighted balloons are accepted, however, any other decoration will need to be agreed.
  2. You may not bring your own alcohol into the event. Please let us know if there are any products in particular that you know you and your guests would like at the event and we will do our best to stock it, although stock cannot be guaranteed on the day.
  3. A £50 damage bond will be taken in addition to the hire charge and will be returned on the Monday following the event, providing no damage has been caused. Any damages must be paid for. If damage occurs, we will take from the holding fee. Card details are retained for the purpose of damages exceeding £50, then destroyed after.
  4. For evening functions, the function must finish at 0000 hours (unless stated otherwise), with the drink up time of 20 minutes. Everyone must be out and away from the property by 0020 hours, including party hosts and DJ. Guests must respect residents of the guest house and keep noise to a minimum when leaving.
  5. There is a strict no glass outside policy which takes place at 2300 hours. This is a Health & Safety regulation so must be adhered to.
  6. We operate a strict policy on underage drinking. No guests under the age of 18 should try to make any purchase or be within 1 metre of the bar area. No adult should buy alcoholic beverages for anyone under the age of 18, this may result in the party being terminated early. Guests that appear to be under 25 years of age may be challenged for photo identification in the form of a passport or a driver’s license.
  7. Functions are non-refundable. Date changes are prohibited. If a date change is approved by Management, this may incur an additional charge.
  8. All children under the age of 14 must leave the premises by 2100 hours for licencing purposes. Children over the age of 14 may stay if accompanied by a responsible adult.
  9. All staff should be listened to and respected at all times.
  10. Noise levels (music and guests) should stay to a reasonable level to respect guest house residents. Chanting/stomping/shouting will not be tolerated. If a member of staff asks the DJ to adjust the volume, he/she must do so promptly.
  11. If you would like to source your own provider for live music this must be approved by us in advance. We will require the contact details for the provider and we will need to discuss with them our licensing requirements etc. in terms of sound and volume levels etc.
  12. All decorations/buffet/DJ equipment must be cleared and taken on the night of the event. If you wish to take any buffet home at the end of the event, you must provide your own containers.
  13. The hirer is responsible for his/her guests in the evening. Staff may approach the hirer in the event of a problem with any of the guests
