The Gather Inn is situated on the A259 on the seafront (Kingsway), over-looking Hove Lagoon. Just a short drive from Brighton City Centre.
Closest rail: Portslade, Fishersgate, Aldrington, Hove, Brighton (in order of closest to furthest).
Closest Airport: London Gatwick, 40 minutes drive
*Parking:
The Gather Inn benefits from free on-street parking in the surrounding roads. Park directly outside before the metres, or behind the building, for free from 2pm until midday the following day
Parking can be found in a few different spots and in different styles:
– 4 hours free, no return within 1 hour – this parking is located out the front of the building and the road behind us, New Wharf Road. The hours this is monitored is between 9am-6pm Monday – Sunday (apart from the road behind, which is Monday-Saturday)
– Pay Meter – This is a pay and display which is just a bit further along the road after the pay meter. This is metered between 9am – 8pm and costs £6.50 for the full 11 hours.
– Residential Streets – These are the streets opposite, coming off the Kingsway – are permit holders only between 11am-12pm and 6pm-7pm. Any other time, you may park here.

– Bus
*700 (Coastliner) – Bus stop directly opposite the building. Approx. 20 minutes into Brighton, travelling along Kingsway with lovely sea views.
*6, 1 – Bus stop at the top of Roman Road (opposite). Around 15 minutes to Brighton city centre. (Route 6 continues to Brighton Station – approx. 25 minutes.)
*Other routes – Bus services 2, 25, 46 and 49 from Olive Road (a ~10 minute walk).
– Train
Portslade Station is a 15-20 minute walk from the pub. Trains to Brighton Station take around 8 minutes.
– Walk
Approximately a 45-minute, flat walk along the seafront. A lovely option in good weather.
– Drive / Taxi
Roughly 10-15 mins, depending on traffic.
