11-27 November

CINECITY celebrates the 14th edition of the festival this November with the very best in world cinema and a packed programme of premieres and previews, treasures from the archive and live soundtracks plus free education screenings and special events.

Christmas Fayre @ Brighton Hilton Metropole

12-13 November

Meet Santa and have fun at the fabulous Christmas Fayre.

Christmas festivities with Santa’s Grotto, stalls, food, wine, gifts, accessories and lots more.

The Fairy Tale Fair – Christmas Craft Fair

13 November

Handmade crafts, jewellery, Christmas gifts, stocking fillers, live singers, cafes and treats, face painting & more.

The Fairy Tale Fair is a whimsical themed craft fair in Brighton. After the success of it’s previous fairs The Fairy Tale Fair looks forward to returning for our 1st Christmas special back at Brighton Open Market! Why not fall down the rabbit hole and explore it?

The fair will comprise of almost 50 stalls selling a range of handmade crafts as we take over Brighton Open Market. These include gifts, jewellery, homewares, kids clothing, prints, cards, artwork, Christmas decorations, cosmetics, chocolates, glassware and more. There will also be live performers, face painting, and cafes. Perfect gifts for all and a great family day out! Shop independent and support local makers this Christmas.

Brighton Christmas Lights Switch On

16 November

Brighton’s anticipated Christmas light’s switch-on, and this year promises to be bigger, better and more Brighton than ever!

The city will start its festive celebrations with a FREE party in East Street as Phats and Small (Turn Around) and Brighton producers Kideko and George Kwali (Crank It) take to the live stage with their chart topping hits. Home grown talent Theatre Workshop and the Dionne Slater Singing Group will also wow the crowds with their performances.

Then Brighton legend, actor and comedian Steve Coogan will have the all-important task of counting down and flicking the switch to unveil Brighton’s festive lights.

The Brighton Food & Drink Christmas Special Tour

18&19 November and 25 & 26 November

The Brighton Food & Drink Christmas Special Tour will give Brighton & Hove residents the chance to do their Christmas purchasing in one hit – with festive tastings, tipples and exclusive discounts on Christmas food and presents. The tour is organised by local company, Brighton Food Tours, which already runs the Trip Advisor five star rated, V.I.B (Very Independent Brighton) Food Tour.

Charity Disco

25 November

West Beach Properties Charity Disco with dance act performed by Killabeez. Ticket includes cold buffet. All proceeds to go to Starr Trust and the Clock Tower Sanctuary.

Brighton Artist Open Houses Christmas Festival

26 – 27 November

Brighton’s Artist Open Houses returns this Christmas for three weekends starting on Saturday November 26. During this time artists and makers across Brighton & Hove, Lewes, Ditchling and beyond will be throwing open the doors of their houses and studios to showcase a hugely diverse selection of artworks.
